BOSS TONE STUDIO for GP-10 Ver.1.1.1 for macOS / OS X

Preparing in advance to use BOSS TONE STUDIO for GP-10
Before you use BOSS TONE STUDIO for GP-10, the appropriate USB driver for the product you are using must be installed on your computer.

Downloading and unarchiving the compressed file
  1. Read the software license agreement at the bottom of the screen and select the "I agree" check box.
  2. Click the "Download File" button to download the installer.
  3. Double-click the file to unzip it if the file is not already unzipped.

Installing the app
If the version of TONE STUDIO you currently use is between 1.0.0 to 1.1.0, uninstall it before updating to the latest version. Go to Applications and drag and drop the BOSS TONE STUDIO for GP-10 into the trash.
*You can find the current version in the SYSTEM > Version at the bottom right of the TONE STUDIO screen.
*Even when you uninstall TONE STUDIO, the livesets saved in the library will remain.
  1. Double click "BOSS TONE STUDIO for GP-10 (.dmg)" in the unzipped folder.
    A disk image appears.
  2. Drag and drop the "BOSS TONE STUDIO for GP-10" icon onto the "Applications folder" icon.
  3. Close the folder that you opened in step 1.

Launching the app
  1. Use a USB cable to connect the GP-10 to your computer, and then turn on the power of the GP-10.
    *Do not use a USB cable that is designed only for charging a device. Charge-only cables cannot transmit data.
  2. Go to Launchpad or Applications and double-click "BOSS TONE STUDIO for GP-10".

If the Liveset does not appear after updating the BOSS TONE STUDIO
The location where Liveset are saved differs depending on the period when BOSS TONE STUDIO was installed and set up. If the Liveset created before is not displayed after updating BOSS TONE STUDIO, copy all files in the Original Library to New Library.

/Application Support/BOSS-TONE-STUDIO-for-GP-10/Local Store
 
  1. Close all applications.
  2. Click on "Go" in Finder.
    The MENU appears.
  3. While pressing the Option key, click on "Library".
    *Since "Library" is a hidden folder, it will only be displayed while you are pressing the option key.
  4. Copy all files from the original library to the new library.
  5. Launch BOSS TONE STUDIO and make sure that all live sets are displayed.

Bug Fixes
This release fixes the following issues.
  • Unintended patch data sometimes being sent during a patch-selection operation was corrected.
  • Some keyboard operations failing to work properly was corrected.
  • Other modification to the behavior of the user interface were made.

Functionality Improvements
  • Librarian's "multiple patch copy," "multiple patch overwrite," "multiple patch move," and "multiple patch delete" are now supported.
  • Multiple patch copy to the unit is supported.
  • Moving live sets is now possible.

This application has the following requirements.
  • Computer
    * Mac computers running Microsoft Windows are not supported.

*An Internet connection is required to use BOSS TONE CENTRAL. Some connection services may require a data communication fee.
*While we have confirmed that this app works on a typical computer that meets the system requirements stated above, we cannot guarantee that it will work under all circumstances. Please note that differences in design specifications or usage environments of individual computers may result in varying processing capabilities, even when the system requirements are identical.
