Un studio d’enregistrement que l’on peut tenir dans une main? A peine plus grand qu’un iPod, le Micro BR est le rêve de tout musicien nomade. Avec 4 pistes (32 pistes virtuelles), une fente pour carte SD, un processeur guitar- et multi-effets, micro électret incorporé, des motifs rythmiques, un accordeur, la compatibilité MP3 et un port USB, le Micro BR est rudement bien équipé. Le Micro BR est si compact qu’on peut le mettre en poche. Mesurant 136,0mm x 81,0mm x 21,4mm, c’est une merveille de miniaturisation car le Micro BR comprend toutes les fonctions d’un studio d’enregistrement. Orné d’une douzaine de boutons en façade, il contient aussi un microphone pour les captations surprises.





Quatre pistes et plus


Le Micro BR est un studio quatre pistes (pendant la lecture) permettant


d’enregistrer sur deux pistes simultanément. De plus, chaque piste propose huit pistes virtuelles (“V”), ce qui vous permet d’enregistrer jusqu’à 32 versions différentes pour ensuite rassembler celles que vous utiliserez pour le mix.





Boîte à rythmes et effets


En dépit d’un mini-volume et d’un mini-prix, le Micro BR a deux atouts de taille: (1) Environ 300 motifs de batterie. Vous pouvez vous en servir comme métronome ou pour préparer la partie de batterie de vos morceaux. A ce sujet, il faut préciser que les rythmes sont ajoutés en temps réel, vous évitant de sacrifier une piste. (2) Des multi-effets de qualité comprenant un algorithme “Time-Stretch” avec lequel vous pouvez changer le tempo du matériel audio sans modifier la hauteur. Vous pouvez vous en servir pour préparer des parties ou solos difficiles.


“Time Stretch” fonctionne même avec des fichiers MP3! La fonction “Center Cancel” du Micro BR, de son côté, permet de couper la partie de chant de plages MP3.





Enregistrement sur SD


Le Micro BR ne contient pas de composants mécaniques car les données sont enregistrées sur une carte de mémoire SD (“Secure Digital”) que vous trouverez dans n’importe quelle surface vendant des appareils photos numériques. Cette minuscule carte SD peut contenir toute une session. La carte de 128Mo fournie peut conserver environ 64 minutes de données audio mono (1 piste)
