If you want to keep backed-up data saved to the app using GT-1000 version 1.11 or earlier, follow the steps below to back up the data to the cloud before updating your GT-1000 system program to version 4.02. You can then use GT-1000 version 4 to restore the backed-up data.
* When performing the backup, use the older version of the app (Ver.1.0.4).
* When specifying where in the cloud to save the data, select iCloud Drive if you are using an iOS device or Google Drive if you are using an Android device.

* The backup of STOMPBOX SETTING data is carried out via the GT-1000, and so performing the procedure described below erases the STOMPBOX SETTING data currently saved on the GT-1000. To save the current settings, before you execute the backup, carry out the steps in the sequence of 1 -> 2 -> 5 -> 6 to save the data.

1. Tap [MENU].
2. Tap the [STOMPBOX DATA BACKUP] button.
3. At RESTORE, go to "FROM FILE" and select the data you want to back up, then restore it to the not-yet-updated GT-1000.
4. Wait for the message "COMPLETED!" to appear.
5. At BACKUP, tap "TO CLOUD", then export the data.
6. The screen for the cloud is displayed. Select the destination for saving to the cloud, then carry out the backup.

* The ALL DATA BACKUP operation is carried out via the GT-1000, and so performing the procedure described below erases all settings currently saved on the GT-1000. To save the current settings, before you execute the backup, carry out the steps in the sequence of 1 -> 2 -> 5 -> 6 to save the data.

1. Tap [MENU].
2. Tap the [ALL DATA BACKUP] button.
3. At RESTORE, go to "FROM FILE" and select the data you want to back up, then restore it to the not-yet-updated GT-1000.

• When "MANUAL" is assigned to the built-in switches as CONTROL FUNCTION, it does not work well under certain conditions.
  (How to avoid this in older versions)
  Setting ASSIGN SOURCE to a switch other than the built-in switches can avoid this issue.
• After restoration by ALL DATA BACKUP function of BTS, PEDALBOARD patch was not restored correctly.
• Other minor bugs have been fixed.

  Eleven types of settings that combine multiple effects such as multi-band compressor, limiter, enhancer, and equalizer have been provided as TYPE settings. Full-fledged mastering to boost the acoustic pressure of the sound and make sound contours more distinct can now be carried out.
  The GT-1000 is a processor distinguished by a vivid amp sound, but the addition of these effects makes it easy to obtain a line sound having adaptable fighting potential even in recording that demands precise adjustment.
  We recommend using these with placement after an SP.SIMULATOR.
• Ten types of SP TYPE settings designed based on IR data having a realistic presence have been added to the SP.SIMULATOR parameters.
• Ribbon mic and blended dynamic/ribbon mic MIC TYPE settings have been added to the SP.SIMULATOR parameters.
• Five types of BOSS and Roland delays have been added to the MASTER DELAY parameter.
  The DD-8's acclaimed WARM and GLITCH settings, the vintage digital SDE-3000, and the still-popular STANDARD and ANALOG parameters featured on the DD-20 have been added.
• The optional EV-1-WL wireless expression pedal is now supported.

  • PEDALBOARD ( PEDALBOARD Mode )
    This mode allows use with the same feel as having Compact Effectors arranged on a pedalboard.
    The respective switches are used to toggle the effects on and off.
    The PEDALBOARD Mode has no concept of patches or memories. Edited values are saved without having to execute a write operation.
